Shruti Desai, PA-C is Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board. She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration while completing the pre-PA classes.
Ms. Desai earned her professional degree from Barry University with a Masters in Clinical Medical Sciences, which qualified her to work as a Physician Assistant since 2013.
After dedicating her time to providing urgent medical care to patients for 2 years, she found her passion in Psychiatric care. For the past 7 years, Ms. Desai has delivered high quality Psychiatric care to patients in the emergency room, in the inpatient medical floors and the inpatient psychiatric unit in the largest hospital system in North Texas. There, Ms. Desai also provided psychiatric consultations to patients in the Obstetric and Gynecology Emergency Services and the Labor and Delivery unit.
As a Physician Assistant in Psychiatry, Ms. Desai has been working with the highest degree of independent clinical work in one of the largest hospital systems in Texas. Dr. Friedman and Ms. Desai have worked side by side in the hospital for five years, when Ms. Desai decided to accept the offer to join Friedman Psychiatry as an experienced clinician. She is passionate about helping individuals who seek treatment in our clinic to achieve their optimal mental health and function!
